The Training and Professional Development Division is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of training programs within a diverse organization. The Division is also responsible for building solid cross-functional relationships within the agency. The Division is responsible for the following areas:
- Facilitate and track continuing education training;
- Provide leadership development education;
- Provide logistical support, course development, delivery, evaluation, process measurement, and cost management;
- Conduct on-boarding and orientation process;
- Evaluate needs of agency and plan training programs accordingly;
- Assist with the development of strategic plans;
- Plan and facilitate activities and events, material production and distribution; and
- Provide the agency with classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
This Division also manages the employee wellness program to promote and support the health, safety and well-being of its employees. Some components of the employee wellness program include:
- A Wellness newsletter;
- Workshops on wellness issues;
- Walking/running groups;
- Health Fairs;
- Physical activity breaks;
- Fitness classes; and
- Smoking cessation classes.
